ring, ring

Camp is calling, calling you and everyone you know. It is time to fill camp with campers. The joyous sound of campers (and staff). There is a a small army assembled with a BIG GOD getting ready to call every Church of Christ within camp's reach and that army has one purpose- CAMPERS and MORE CAMPERS!

Those who have been involved with camp know what camp does and how camp works. Jesus is ready and we have called Him to be our general. He will lead and we will follow. Join the cause! Grab His word and come along as we grow camp to reaches only He can make possible.

To God be the glory forever and ever~ Amen!

God smiles at us by the minute

Realizing that God loves us for who we are is challenging

This is how we know what love is:
Jesus Christ laid down his life for us

Realizing that a dandelion is a flower and not a weed
is challenging

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

So, this has been my struggle for the past 6-8 weeks.
I've been boasting.
The word "proud" has entered my vocab.
I feel self-assured.
My humility has waned.
I haven't even noticed the moon lately.
My plate is full and I have been proud of how full it is and looks.

I love that verse---
a gift of God, not my doing, so I may not boast.

What's that other verse?
But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Galatians 6:14

I have so much to still learn.

...and I guess this hit home the hardest- for as I have been proud and boasting
I have NOT had peace or rest or contentedness

For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,
Romans 8:6

I want life & peace
His grace provides it

I can hear the roar of the milk truck at FIVE A.M.--- it is here where I sin at Camp...this is where mean, negative thoughts coarse my mind...not with the campers, but with that truck and the trash truck and the bread truck rumbling through Boy's Town while I try to sleepsleepsleep.

I never forget how amazing Camp is...truly amazing...fascinating...wonderful beautiful.

The "he" is us.

If we are called to "righteous", then we are called NOT to resist.

ohhhh Lord.....I want to resist.

I want to make what is wrong/right, I want to fight the injustice, but yet; "he does NOT resist you"

BUT Lord, seriously? Don't resist the inequities of the world, Lord please let me fight them! They anger me, hurt me, hurt others and yet.....do not resist?!?!?!?

Forgive me o'Lord.....for I resist more oft then I should.

I am saved by grace.
