HEAT!

Garrett Hall
This is the hottest fire I have ever experienced.
when my youngest son was turning 13 two men from church who's boys were also turning 13 and my son and I all went to camp in the absolute dead of winter to tell our boys that they were men.
It was 12 degrees outside that Friday nite @ camp.
We slept by this fire in Garrett Hall...the six of us.
It kept us warm.
When we woke up Sat to a fresh coating of snow we departed the warmth of Garrett Hall to Hawk Mountain to hike up the icey rocks.
Everytime the boys were given a choice of the easier road or the narrow more difficult road they took the narrow road.
We had to crawl over the ice strewn boulders and face the wind of the wind of the mountain.
Later that nite, at Garrett Hall we cooked steak and potatoes and watched Dances with Wolves
an experience we will all never forget
Camp is an experience
Camp is special...but why?
1. People pray about camp all the time!
2. Whenever people are at camp they are very Christ-like
Do those two things about work and school
(pray and be Christ-like)
think about this....why do you want other people to know God
when you figure that out----go tell them about Him

How Great is our God?

I will not give in to the masses. I will travel the narrow road where Jesus Christ is. Will you travel with me? Camp is awesome because EVERYBODY is FOCUSED on Him. God is good....all the time....

Are you ready for the joy of the Lord? What does the world have to offer you? Jesus offers you LIFE. A life worth living to it's fullest. Look at people, see them, listen to them, hear them.....let the love of the Lord shine out from you like a BEACON of light that is blinding.
The world offers me nothing compared to what Christ offers me. He gives me eternal life and joy that is incomparable to anything here. Will you join me?
Will you travel the narrow road? Will you admit that Jesus is the son of God and was buried and rose from the DEAD?

It isn't easy to agree to....or is it?

What are you going to do with your life.....what will/can you possibly do with your life...think with me....you can make a difference, Jesus loved all, loved the sinner, loved the poor and the hurting...think...can you love them? Will you SHOW them love? Seek Him out...look for God.....LOOK for Him and YOU will find Him...He is right there. Humble yourself....

and then you will see

Camp Sounds

the sounds at Camp are amazing. They are different. The singing, the water as someone goes under and starts a new life, and the sniffles you hear on saturday at the closing ceremony. Camp is a special place. All the sounds you hear mean something. Sometimes you just have to listen.

people

I am constantly determining my purpose and I keep coming back to one thing.
PEOPLE. Nothing is more important then loving one another. How will people know who you are unless you show love?

Everyone and I do mean everyone has extreme value....

What can be more valuable then each other and showing each other that love?

Do that and you are putting action to your faith.
Love like Christ....
People---ALL people.....every single person be they homeless, rich, poor or sick....every single solitary one of them has extreme value....Jesus died for all.

Jr.High 2

Hi everyone! I just got back from a week of Camp and I Am PUMPED! It was one of the best if not the best I've been to. Our signing was incredible. Matt Wilson was an amazing song leader and campfire leader. We had 7 baptisms. I'm ready for more. Andrew Cooper said Camp was a great mountain top experience. I agree.

With love, Brett Hower

Camp Needs

Hello All,

Each night this year at camp the kids (and any interested adults) will have a chance to check out some planets, constellations and maybe even an International Space Station sighting. We could really use several telescopes so one scope can be set up on each observable body so there won't be a lot of standing around time. If anyone has a telescope or access to one, please contact me so we can coordinate its use at camp this year.

Love,

Tony

A good friend of mine emailed me this request and I figured I would post his request to the bloggers. He is attending Inter II from 8/4-8/11. If you can help out post a comment and I will put you both in touch!
