Shirt Update

Alrighty campers here is where we are:
Tye-Dye Green & White is @ 17 votes
Old School Green is @ 12

That being said I have found a source for shirts that is price friendly. So this looks like a go and the Cutts family will not have to become a tye-dye factory (they might be disappointed!).

Here is the concern:

The green and white tye dye shirt are not as fun and flashy as you might think. The green being used is more of a forest/hunter green (dark) and not really a fun happy green :(

I am thinking of pulling rank and ordering the common rainbow tye dyes....you know the over the top, insane, happy, fun, cheerful type :)

If you would like to weigh in on this thought process just "hit" comment.
If I, and whomever might weigh in, pull rank that means that we will have disillusioned the 29 souls who have thus far voted for either of the above choices....thoughts?

I voted for the solid green shirt before this revelation, and feel that the tye-dye that is multi-colored wouldn't be professional and wouldn't be worn much by staff members outside of camp. Ergo, count one vote to solid green.

hmmm... i had been a very strong advicate (sp?) for the green and white tye-dye, but it sounds like that is out. I would rather have the "old school" solid green instead of the rainbow tye-dye though, so i guess thats another vote for solid green!

I like the tye-dye idea. It will certainly set the staff apart. Of course, I'll wear whatever.

I've not been a tye-dye fan for staff shirts anyway and really dislike the idea of the multi-colored ones. Personally, I think a solid color shirt is more apropo and if it is to be green, a forest green complements more people than a grassy green.

I would say that either the green and white tye-dye or the solid green shirts but definitely not the rainbow tye-die! I agree that I wouldn't get much use out of it after camp was over! Just because the majority wanted green and white tye-dye I'm sure this doesn't mean they would want rainbow tye-dye as an alternative.

I would just like to add that the STAFF have to wear these shirts. Most of the staff are not going to be in the group of 18-22 years of age that might consider the tie-dye to be cool. Yes it might set the staff apart, but so does the word STAFF written on the back. If you really want these shirts to get more attention outside of one day at camp then I would definitely say go with a solid color of some sort. Old school green with white lettering would probably be cool & accepted by most. I would definitely wear it more than one day at camp & others would see it & may want to know what camp it is & what it is all about. (I won't be wearing a tie-dye shirt accept for maybe one day at camp, sorry :-( )

Hey, Tater check those IP's and make sure they are not all the same person, lol. I guess no one from camp would do anything like that, shame on me. I'm ok with which ever way the vote falls out. I do like the new logo and the colors in it with the green and white, it looks sharp. A shirt that featured those colors and logo would represent camp well but I'm also all about fun, and so is camp, and the tie dye would have been nice, however not all people are going to sport about in multiple colors unless you are a soul like Mark Neils with his shorts or someone who appreciates the art of tie dye as our family does. Tie dye is old generation, it's just a retro comeback, I am not in the 18-22 year old range and I still think they are cool, oh well. I do like the idea of not having to tie dye 900 green and white shirts and trying to get them to all look alike, but I'd do it in a heartbeat if you asked us to, well, maybe not a heartbeat, more like two or three weeks. If that is the case, we would probably have to tie dye the shirts first before sending them to get the logo imprinted on them as processing them afterwards would not work. We are probably getting down to the wire with deadlines to accomplish that.

I'm for solid green and white. I do like tie-dye, but not neon tie-dye (not to be picky though). I just think the old school camp colors would look cool because I don't recall it being done that way in the past.

I really like the tye-dye i think it would look really cool and the tye-dye reminds me of camp cause we always tye-dye there and you don't have to be young to like tye-dye. a vote for tye-dye lets make this year stand out from all the others
