I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
I am heading to DC to find out who stole some cash deposits from not just one store last wkend, but also from three stores this AM. The evidence is coming out as to who may have done this. My knees are infected from the Tug-O-War last week @ camp and my forearms are bruised from bellyflopping not too mention the countless bruises up and down my chest and arms from being involved in the picture above. I had to forgo my Radiohead ticket for tonite as I have no clue how long I ill be in DC today.
So what does it all mean??? NOTHING! The moment pictured above is as close to real life as you may get---living for the moment, nothing is guaranteed, nothing is forever except the love of Jesus. Will you die to yourself and live for Him? what else do you REALLY have?
Take the moment---right now! Thank Him!!! Talk to Him---He listens, He loves and He is real, really real.
Go ahead and chase the wind.....chase it OR stop chasing the wind and stop dead in your tracks and get on your knees and praise Him; for He is good!
Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the earth was founded?
He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.

Sorry you are having to miss Radiohead to track down the thief. Not everyone had the parents we were lucky to have...not everyone has the Older Brother we're blessed to have, either.
(There was an elder at the Shillington Church of Christ, Brother Jack Allen, who would thank God for our Older Brother, Jesus. When I was little, this sounded so strange to me, but I've grown to love the idea!)
BTW, your post made me stop what I was doing (eating lunch) and say a quick thank you for my house. It's not new (1956) and has some problems (okay, lots of problems!), but it's a wonderful blessing to me!
